Dear UofT Pharmies!

Ontario Pharmacy Student Integrative Summit (OPSIS) 2012 is here (and I now have 3 applications submitted!!!)

For those of you who still don't know what OPSIS is, this is a great opportunity for students who are passionate about pharmacy and have
excellent leadership skills to spend a collaborative and educational weekend with students from both Toronto and Waterloo (See attached pdf for more details or check outwww.pharmacyleaders.ca).

6 students will be chosen from each year to represent U of T. This is an excellent addition to your resume and an even better opportunity to practice skills learned in the classroom!

WHEN:
- Fri, March 30th to Sun, April 1st, 2012

WHERE:
- Sheraton on the Falls, Niagara

COST:
- Your meals and accommodations will be covered= FREE!

Hi 1T3's here's your update for the week.

PHM320
- The product assignment is due on Monday in paper form and online in the discussion forum by next Monday. Check Portal, the discussion thread should be up soon.

PHM321
- Drugs and Breastfeeding + Glaucoma panels this Thursday

PHM325
- Midterm this weekend this Thursday at EX100 during the time when we would usually have class.

Other
- Townhall this Friday in PB250 from 10-11am on the PharmD program.
- Festive Rum Cake from Prof. Rocchi in PB150 from 12-1 in celebration of her winning professor of the year.

1T3 grad committee applications

Hey 1T3s,

If anyone is interested in helping to organize our graduation formal, you?re invited to apply to be a part of our grad committee! We are looking to select about 5 people that want to help out from now until the formal (June 8, 2013!!).

What you can expect to be doing: discussing decoration/theme ideas, helping to look for/contacting DJs, photographers, etc, helping with ticket sales

Time commitment: we will meet every so often (~monthly?) & work on this until June 2013, including some work over the summer (and maybe a bit during SPEP?). Since we are all in the same class we will work around exams, etc.

iClicker Buyback sale!

Hey 1T3s,

Your class council will be organizing an iClicker buyback over the two weeks where we will be buying your used iClickers in order to pass them onto the first year class which will be using them this semester. We will be buying them back for $17 each. It has been confirmed with Professor Sibbald that we won’t be using them for the rest of the curriculum.

You can drop off your clickers at the following times:
Tuesday, January 10th – 12pm to 1pm (before PHM328)
Thursday, January 12th – 2pm to 3pm (before PHM325)
Monday, January 16th – 12 to 1pm (before PHM330)

We will be situated outside the classroom for each of the drop off times above.

*Important* - we can only buy back an iClicker with a legible Clicker ID (should be near the bottom on the back). This is so it can be registered again for another person.

Application for Combined Pharm D program now open for 1T3

This is announcement regarding the combined BSc.Phm/Pharm D. program. The applications have now opened for our class. Note that the deadline for this year's application cycle is Friday, February 24th, 2012 (this is much earlier than the previous year).
